8 Signs Your Ex Will Eventually Come Back

Love is a thing that holds many mysteries to even the most experienced among us. One of the biggest questions usually comes after the relationship is over. You find yourself wondering if it’s really done, or are you simply on a break of sorts?

Here’s how you can know that the odds are good that your ex will eventually come back. Sort of. Maybe.

Drunk Texts

You have to give credit where credit is due: drunk people never lie. So if they’re texting you when slightly inebriated, you’re still on their mind. That’s a good thing. Honestly, even an angry text could be a good sign, as love and hate are interchangeable in these kinds of situations.

Your Stuff

If they haven’t returned your stuff to you, that means you’re at least still welcome at their place. If the relationship is truly over, you’re going to have to come pick it up sooner or later, right? Not ripping off that band-aid means that the chapter isn’t entirely closed for your ex yet.

Your Friends

If they’re still meeting up with your friends, there’s at least a will to keep in touch and stay a part of your life. And I’m talking about friends you knew before the relationship, that are 100% “your” people. Friends that you meet while in a relationship don’t really mean anything in this context.

7 Myths About Burnout That You Need To Stop Believing Right Now

Burnout is exceptionally relevant these days. Not only because you’ve probably heard about it all over social media, but because so many of us have actually experienced it recently or are going through it right now. Work/life balance is hard to achieve even in the perfect circumstances, but with the current state of affairs and the global pandemic, it’s been harder than ever. Many of us found ourselves working from home, feeling isolated and exhausted, irritated by the easiest tasks, or drowning in apathy. You’d think working from home would make it easier on our mental health, and for some it is. But many people feel like they’re imprisoned in their own home, doing the same thing every day, and tackling work tasks gets harder and harder. Despite the fact that the conversion about burnout is ongoing, few really know enough about it. There are many myths about burnout, mostly created by those who only heard about it and never bothered to dig deeper and find the correct meaning of it. We’re here today to bust some myths about the causes of burnout.

1. Burnout Happens To Weak People

First of all, burnout doesn’t discriminate, it’s coming for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you’re working part-time as a waitress while pursuing an acting career, or if you’re a high-achieving lawyer or the CEO of a huge company. Burnout just happens to those who are overworked, and the threshold for that is different for everyone.

2. If You Love What You Do You Won’t Experience Burnout

Actually, people who are truly passionate about their job are even more likely to experience burnout than those who are just working a job they feel neutral about. Those artists that are putting everything into their work, the students who are trying their best to combine their university schedule with an internship to get their foot in the door, the young professionals doing their best to climb the corporate ladder and achieve success in their dream profession – all of them are equally likely to burn out.

3. Burnout Will Pass On Its Own

Burnout is not the common cold, it won’t just pass in a week on its own. It’s not something that just happens suddenly. Burnout doesn’t happen overnight, and it won’t just disappear in a weekend. You can’t just ignore it until it goes away. In fact, you might just make it worse if you try to ignore it. If you start just feeling numb to the world and everything that surrounds you – that’s a symptom of getting worse, not better.

12 “Two and a Half Men” Stars and Where Are They Now

For a successful sitcom series, you need a fun premise, great comedy actors, even better writers, and a lot of top-tier cameos. These were the features that made us fall in love with Two and a Half Men. 18 years have passed since the Harper family first appeared on the screens, but the witty dialogues are still relevant to this day. There’s the rich womanizer Charlie Harper, his loser brother Alan, and the little guy Jake are an endless source of good jokes and cringey moments for the whole family.

Let’s have a look at what the charismatic actors who won our hearts look like today! And let’s just mention some of the most notorious cameos first!

1. Megan Fox

Megan needs no introductions. She was in Transformers, Jennifer’s Body, TMNT, The New Girl, and, of course, one single episode of Two and a Half Men. That was probably her best role so far.

2. Lucy Lawless

Xena, the Warrior Princess, was Lucy’s bread and butter back in the 90s. Then came Spartacus, Agents of Shield, Ash vs. Evil Dead, all the way to 2021’s show My Life Is Murder. She’s still got it!

3. Miley Cyrus

Let’s be honest here, if Hanna Montana was the pinnacle of Miley’s acting career, no amount of money and/or drugs is going to change that. She appeared in 2 episodes of Two and a Half Men, where she left us with an unsavory aftertaste, but her TV career slowed down a lot after that, probably due to Miley’s busy schedule.

4. Ashton Kutcher

Surprisingly, Ashton Kutcher’s TV and movie career did not benefit from being on Two and a Half Men. In fact, that gig might have made things worse. Or maybe he’s just tired of being in the show business. Jobs was a nice little break for him, but after that, Ashton appeared in a couple of mediocre projects like the Ranch and Stonercats.

6 Things Women Notice About Men On The First Date

Of course, being courteous and polite are usually a good start, although some women prefer bashful loudmouths, so you should do your research.

The first date is an important moment in life, even if you’re not certain it will work out in the long run. This means that the first step and, therefore, the first impression is very important. If you count on scoring a second date, you should listen to what we have to say.

Of course, being courteous and polite are usually a good start, although some women prefer bashful loudmouths, so you should do your research. But besides the basic stuff, there are other things that will help you win the chosen one’s affection.

1. Good Sense of Humor

Almost every girl thinks she looks best when she laughs. And that’s actually true. Women love having a good laugh; just don’t force them to smile. That’s a cringe move. But if she starts laughing at everything you’re saying, or even worse — out of the blue — you better take her phone, delete your number and run like the wind.

2. Good Manners

Even if you are very anxious and nervous about the first date, you don’t need to hide it by acting cheeky. Of course, you should not be too courteous either, but try to find good middle ground. You do not want your date to see your nervous posh side, do you? Behave like a regular human being, tell her sweet nothings, don’t slurp too loudly, and fight your urge to pick those boogers from your nose.

Animals That Self-Medicate to Stay Healthy

While self-medication among humans is generally frowned upon (probably due to the fact that it never has anything to do with staying healthy), the animal world is full of examples of creatures using Mother Nature’s natural resources to keep healthy. Let’s take a look at some of the most impressive ones.

House Sparrows

While most animals will use plants and the like to self-medicate, the house sparrows have some pretty ingenious ways to boost their health. They’ve discovered that cigarette buds have nicotine in it, which is a perfect deterrent for mites. By putting these in their nests, they can keep them mite-free relatively easy.

Woolly Bear Caterpillar

Even the smallest creatures on this planet will find ways to boost their health when needed. The woolly bear caterpillar actually singles out plants that have certain toxins in them that would kill parasitic tachinid flies. By eating these plants specifically, they can reduce their chances of infection and increase their own health.

Orangutans

This species is known for carrying their babies around through the jungle. The mothers have developed a method of chewing medicinal plants into a paste and then rubbing it over their arms, which works like a pain-easing balm would.

8 Times the Weather Changed the Course of History

The weather affects people’s lives every day, sometimes it just makes us change our picnic plans, and other times extreme weather events can even change the course of a war or lead to the decline of civilization. It is hard to blame nature for ruining people’s lives, but the world as we know it today might look different if not for its interference.

1. The Mongol Empire vs. Typhoons

In the 13th century, the leader of the Mongol Empire, Khan Khubilai, was this close to seizing Japan, but two typhoons ruined his plans. Shinto priests believed that these winds were the embodiment of everyone’s prayers and called them Kamikaze (divine wind).

2. Spanish Armada vs. Storm

The decimation of the Spanish Armada in 1588 was one of the greatest battles of Western civilization. During the attempt to conquer England, the armada suffered significant losses due to the harsh weather conditions. Only 65 out of 130 ships returned to Spain; 24 ships were destroyed by a storm near the coast of Ireland.

3 King Charles XII vs. Russian Winter

In 1709, Charles XII became the first European ruler to lead his troops against Russia during winter. The long journey and severe sub-zero conditions played a significant role in the defeat of the Swedish troops. The funniest thing is that Charles XIII was not the last general who had made this mistake.

What Happened to Calista Flockhart

If you were alive in the late 90s, you’ll probably remember Calista Flockhart. She was the lead actress in a popular show called Ally McBeal, and during the period in which this show aired Calista was also a known name in Broadway theater. However, shortly after the show finished, she pretty much went on an acting hiatus. And there’s a good reason for that!

She met and married none other than Harrison Ford. The two are still married to this day, which is a pretty rare thing in Hollywood. Calista has done some minor roles in the meantime (something in Supergirl, voicing the dolphin in the Madagascar spin-off), but she’s really not been anywhere near as active as she was around the end of the 90s. She did marry Han Solo, and that’s already pretty much peaking at life.
