Looking For the Best Workout App? Check Out These 10 Choices

If you are one of our millions (or is it billions???) of devoted Her Beauty readers, you are probably too busy reading all of our incredibly captivating articles about relationship advice and Iceland tourist destinations to find time to workout. But our in-house fitness expert keeps insisting that if our readers were in tip-top shape, they would enjoy our articles even more. That seemed like a reasonable argument to us, so we’ve come up with a list of 10 workout apps that you should consider.

10. The Johnson & Johnson 7-Minute Workout
Are you the type of person who loves to get up at 5:00am and jog a few miles before starting your day. Of course you are! But not everybody has the same amount of time or dedication to do that. This is why this 7-minute workout app from Johnson & Johnson is a great solution. It offers a variety of short cardio exercise routines that can get your blood pumping before you plop down on the sofa for another NetFlix marathon. It also offers different settings based on your fitness level.

Results: We lost a ton of weight.

9. Down Dog
While attending yoga class in a room full of weirdos is not a bad way to spend a couple of hours, we suggest you do it in complete isolation, as far away from other people as possible. This is what the Down Dog app offers. It comes with music and audio instruction as well as short and full classes that are sure to get you closer to finding inner-peace. There is a highly-rated free version, as well as a pro version that costs $7.99/month.

Results: We found Zen.

8. Seconds
For those of you who don’t have access to a running track, the Seconds app is an ideal way to time your intervals. The voice prompt can also help you organize HIIT training, Cross-Fit or circuit training routines.

Results: Our jogging routine is the most-perfectly timed ever.

7. Couch to 5K
If you are having a difficult time running to the kitchen to get that carton of ice cream out of the freezer, this app can help. In fact, this 9-week program for beginners can gradually improve your conditioning so you can eventually run 5 kilometers. That would be a lot of trips to the kitchen!

Results: We’re running marathons like nobody’s business.
