These designers might not have founded the most famous or commercially known fashion houses in the world like Gucci or Versace. However, they are distinguished leaders in innovation that might end up being design icons for our future generations.
1. Virgil Abloh
The Off White designer sourced by Kanye has officially take over 2018. At least the TIME 100 list thinks so. Abloh is shaping the industry and adding diversity to it. It also helps that he’s the “it’ brand in young Hollywood right now. He was also just appointed Loui Vuitton’s artistic director.

2. Molly Goddard
Some people only know Moly Godard for that ridiculous but stunning pink dress in Killing Eve, but it turns out that every one of this avant-garde designer’s looks absolutely slay. From billowing, innovative gowns to sheer and whimsical creations, Goddard gets 5 stars in originality.

3. Demna Gvasalia
This is the guy that send models at Paris Fashion Week down the runway in Crocs. Hailing from Soviet Georgia, he is head designer at Vetements and is now replaced Alexander Wang as Creative Director for Balenciaga. He also led design ties as Louis Vuitton and Maison Margiela.

4. Simon Porte Jacquemus
This designer is taking the fashion industry by storm, and he’s not even 30 yet. He’s completed both menswear and womenswear. He’s now for his French motifs and Breton stripes, walking the fine line between couture and commercial. His tiny handbags are a recent hit with celebs, as Rihanna was seen rocking them.
