Jaipur lies in the very heart of Rajasthan, easily the most vibrant and colourful state of India. The city is known all over the country and beyond its borders due to its gorgeous pink walls. All the buildings were painted shades of terracotta pink to impress Prince Albert and Queen Victoria who came here back in 1876. Built in 16th century, Panna Meena ka Kund used to be a place for socializing, the main water source, and a bathing pool that was always cool during hot summer days. It just looks spectacular!

 

Hawa Mahal
Hawa Mahal is a palace like you’ve never seen before. Constructed more than 200 years ago by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh for his royal ladies to enjoy the views of street lives from the luxury of their own rooms, Hawa Mahal is a truly spectacular piece of architecture boasting 953 intricate windows with beautiful designs.

 

 

Jawahar Circle Garden
This colourful archway has become somewhat of an Instagram celebrity lately – everyone seems to be taking photos there! This is not one of Jaipur’s many historical spots, just a beautifully made archway in a garden with quite a lot of people in it.
