7 Workout Options For Introverts Who’d Rather Die Than Go To The Gym

Exercise is important and the fact that it’s on an all-time high in terms of media coverage is a good thing. But a lot of the time when we hear about exercising it’s often about group activities and exercise classes and joining the community. However, If you’re an introvert – none of that probably sounds good to you. And why would it? When you think about it, no matter how good that encouragement and group spirit is at pushing you on with your exercise regiment, it’s not really worth spending upwards of an hour with sweaty strangers. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with 7 workout options for introverts.

1. Workout Videos
Why go to the gym when you can get just as good of a workout at home. With the number of workout videos available on YouTube you really don’t have to leave the house to get your sweat on. Just get an exercise matt, turn on a workout video and it’s like you have a personal trainer but on TV. And there are so many different kinds of workout videos: cardio, dance, Zumba, martial arts, yoga. You could do a different one every day and never get bored.

2. Wii Fit
If you’re more into gaming you can always try Wii Fit. It’s a video game designed to give you a good workout at home. And this one actually works slightly better than just following a video, because it can track your movements and let you know if you’re not doing them right.

3. Swimming
Swimming doesn’t require you to interact with anyone at all. You just swim and enjoy yourself. And even though it doesn’t feel like it, swimming actually burns a lot of calories too. The only thing is you have to find a pool. But if you live next to the sea or the ocean it’s even better because those waves will produce resistance which will ensure you have an even better workout.
