You Can Still Virtually Visit These Museums While You’re In Quarantine

Covid-19 has been holding a tight grip on society in the last few weeks, and unless you’re in some of the best countries in the world right now, odds are your country is suffering from some version of a lockdown. And while most parts of our social lives have to take the backseat for a few weeks, maybe months, there’s something that we won’t have to give up: museums.

Some world-renowned museums have decided to provide virtual tours of their collections, to help us get through the quarantine without being a danger to our own health or that of people near us. Let’s take a look at some of the museums that are doing this right now, through the use of the Google Arts & Culture app that you can download to your smartphone.

Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam

If you’re interested in some of the famous Dutch painters, this will probably be a great virtual tour for you. Most painters of the Dutch Golden Age have a very big collection in the Rijksmuseum and it’s now even easier to visit.

Guggenheim Museum, New York

Imagine being able to walk down the famous staircase of the Guggenheim museum, without having to actually walk. Now you can be cultural and lazy at the same time, what a time to be alive!
