7 Best Recent TV Comedy Shows

Comedy shows are usually something extremely subjective. Some people like their jokes to be a bit more cerebral, some people love comedies that don’t take themselves too seriously. Some people can’t watch a show if it has a laughing track, some people don’t mind it at all. And while that does make it hard to determine whether a comedy show is going to be good for everyone, there’s no reason to not at least try.

Here’s some of the best recent comedy tv shows. In case you were looking for one.

Rick & Morty

If there’s ever a show that deserved its popularity, it’s this one. Not only does Rick & Morty manage to mix easy, childish jokes with more intelligent and clever ones, it also doesn’t milk out its premise and prefers quality of episodes over quantity. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to watch the wacky adventures of a genius granddad and his slightly mentally challenged grandson?

Atlanta

This show about Atlanta’s working class was made by Donald Glover, which means it’s going to be quite an experience. This show is truly surrealistic in each sense of the word and gets weirder and weirder as time goes on, but you can’t help but keep watching anyway.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

While this show has been going on for nearly 15 years, it’s so good that in those 15 years the writers changed absolutely nothing about the premise. You can watch a first season or last season episode and the general feel of the show will be the exact same. If a show is so good that it’s not forced to reinvent itself after 15 years, then you know it’s worth a watch.
