High Fat Foods That Are Actually Super Healthy

Whenever you want to go on a diet, the first thing they tell you is to mind your fats. As the name pretty much implies, fats have a tendency to make you, well, fat. And while it would seem logical to avoid them as much as possible, it’s not necessary to always do this.

Let’s take a look at some high fat foods that are actually healthy.

Cheese

Cheese is filled with wonderful things like calcium, protein, selenium, vitamin B12 and loads of other things you’ve never heard of. And while cheeses can go very high in the fat department, it’s totally fine to eat them.

Whole Eggs

While eggs are pretty much made out of fat and the yolks themselves are almost pure cholesterol, there are a few health benefits related to eggs that we cannot ignore. For one, studies are showing that the cholesterol in eggs doesn’t affect the cholesterol in the blood for most people. It also holds loads of antioxidants, protein, vitamins, minerals and choline. Whatever you do, don’t throw away the yolk. That’s where the good stuff is.

Avocados

I mean, we already knew this was a superfood, but did you know they’re about 77% fat? It’s also a great source of potassium and fiber though, which is why you shouldn’t disregard them entirely. In fact, any diet with avocados in it is probably going to be good for you.
